DCG Awards Announces Faculty MVP Awards

The Dental College of Georgia recently presented several awards at the college’s annual faculty retreat.

This annual event is designed to highlight excellence, to promote institutional values and to enhance understanding among faculty. DCG faculty were honored for their contributions during the past year. Award winners ranged from instructors to clinical leaders to supportive staff.

Several DCG committees chose a Most Valuable Player to honor:

• The Admissions Committee chose RC Chesla, DDS, assistant professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences.

• The Faculty Development Committee chose Robert Kaltenbach, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences; and Catherine Jauregui, PhD, assistant professor in the Department of Oral Biology and Diagnostic Sciences.

• The Student Affairs Committee chose Veena Pannu, DIP, assistant professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences.

• The Promotion & Tenure Committee chose Stephen Hsu, PhD, professor in the Department of Oral Biology and Diagnostic Sciences; and Weston Fortson, DMD, assistant professor in the Department of Orthodontics.
