DCG Honors Alumni Award Winners

Dental College of Georgia

The DCG celebrated Alumni Weekend in part by honoring our alumni award winners at the annual Goldstein Lecture. These awards express the DCG’s appreciation and admiration for alumni who bring honor to their alma mater, communities, state, nation and world. This year, Distinguished Alumna Dr. Kathleen L. Robinson (left) and Outstanding Young Alumna Dr. Kajuana Farrey Sutton (right) were honored.

2022 DCG Distinguished Alumna Dr. Kathleen L. Robinson (B.S., ’81; DMD, ’90) is a native of Bismarck, North Dakota and retired from Vassey Dental Partners. She spent five years as a dental hygienist before enrolling in the DCG, and practiced dentistry for 21 years. She is a member of the Thomas P. Hinman Dental Society and 2022 Hinman Meeting Chair. Her daughter, Kimberly, is a D2 student.

2022 DCG Outstanding Young Alumna Dr. Kajuana Farrey Sutton (DMD, ’09) was an early participant of the Dental College of Georgia’s Impressions Program, which exposes youth to the profession of dentistry. Sutton, a native of Albany, Georgia, is the past Dental Director and Co-Founder of the West Albany Dental and Medical Center. She serves as president of the Southwest Georgia Dental Society and Scholar for the National Health Service Corps. She has been honored as one of Albany State University’s 50 under 50 and the Albany Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals’ 40 under 40, as well as being honored by the Lucy Hobbs Project in Dentistry as a Clinical Expert in 2021 and as one of the Women Who Inspire in 2020.
