HSDA Hosts Charla for Dental Students

The Hispanic Student Dental Association (HSDA) hosted a charla (“chat”) on Oct. 8 in the Education Commons. At the event, which was open to all dental students, Dr. Charmelo Silva discussed conducting head and neck exams across language barriers. HSDA is a local chapter of the Hispanic Dental Association, and seeks to provide service, education, advocacy and leadership opportunities for the promotion of overall health of the Hispanic community and other underserved communities.
