Two DCG Employees Join AU Staff Council

Two DCG employees have been invited to represent staff on the Augusta University Staff Council (AUSC), a branch of the Employee Advisory Committee (EAC) that is composed of and works on behalf of university staff members. Allison Brown, Education Development Coordinator, and Cassandra “Sandy” Windsor, Nurse Clinician, will each begin three-year terms on the AUSC starting in July.

In addition Brown and Windsor, two DCG staff members are completing their three-year terms. Dawn Gantt, Dean’s Office Coordinator, and Corliss Norman-Williams, ‪DCG Residency Program Coordinator, have both served the council and the DCG honorably for the past three years. Gantt served as council president for two years, and chaired the EAC awards committee for the past year.

The council serves as a formal avenue for communication that allows for staff to share their input and provides a forum to suggest improvements to operations at AU. They assist in identifying and completing administrative projects, advocate for the value and needs of staff members, plan employee engagement events, communicate important information to AU employees, and recognize employee excellence via the EAC Awards.
