Dr. Babak Baban, Associate Dean for Research for The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, recently spoke at the 2024 Saudi-American Healthcare Forum (SAHF) held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. .
Dr. Baban’s roundtable workshop discussed “Artificial Intelligence on Microscale: Intelligent Medicine,” exploring the potential of AI in medicine. The session explored the potential benefits and concerns of artificial intelligence in healthcare, including future improvements in diagnostics; exploring more personalized approaches to treatments based on individual biology; and self-correcting, intelligent medicine that monitors a patient’s response and adjusts treatment for optimal results.
SAHF explores how healthcare leaders from governments and private sectors can address global healthcare challenges. Baban ranked among presenters such as Dr. Gianrico Farrugia, president and chief executive officer of Mayo Clinic; as well as former president Bill Clinton and former U.S. Secretary of State Dr. Henry Kissinger.
