The Dental College of Georgia (DCG) Admissions and Student Affairs/ Community Outreach Programs teams recently took Augusta University’s message to the world at the 2026 American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Annual Session in Montreal, Canada. The teams engaged with prospective students, international colleagues and future dental leaders, showcasing what makes DCG a standout institution for dental education.
DCG attendees included Ketarya D. Hunt Bass, Director of Community Outreach Programs; Matarsha Kendrick, Student Recruitment Coordinator; Stephanie Perry, Director of Student Admissions; Dr. Regina Messer, Associate Dean for DCG Admissions and Dr. Theresa Gonzales, Associate Dean of Extramural Clinics.
The DCG booth bustled with energy as more than 200 prospective students stopped by to ask thoughtful questions and expressed genuine curiosity – creating an atmosphere that reflected the vibrancy and enthusiasm of the DCG community.
Beyond connecting with students, the team built new professional relationships and strengthened DCG’s international presence. They were the voice of DCG in sharing insights and innovate approaches to the amazing work that our college performs on-campus and integrates in community-based education. And while they enjoyed conference sessions and networking, the trip wasn’t without adventure: snowy walks through Montreal and braving freezing temperatures (without the right winter gear) made for memorable experiences, highlighting the team’s commitment to showing up with energy, authenticity and a global perspective.
The trip also brought exciting news for Perry, who was appointed to a three-year term with the ADEA GoDental Advisory Group. The group develops initiatives, marketing strategies and resources for students interested in dentistry and dental hygiene, helping guide students and advisors through the admissions journey.
Perry was also selected to serve on the ADA Council on Dental Education and Licensure’s Dental Admission Committee, which oversees policy, research and strategic direction for the Dental Admission Test (DAT), Advanced Dental Admission Test (ADAT) and Admission Test for Dental Hygiene (ATDH).
This milestone trip reinforced DCG’s commitment to shaping the future of dental education and demonstrated the energy, expertise and dedication of its team in connecting with students and colleagues across the globe.
