DCG Faculty and Students Represent AU at ADEA

AU dental students and faculty recently joined 2,000 clinicians and educators interested in educational innovation and interprofessional achievement in Philadelphia for the 2022 American Dental Education Association’s (ADEA) Annual Session. The national conference offers nearly 300 meetings, sessions and forums for continuing education and professional development.

• Dr. Kim Capehart, Interim Chair of the Department of General Dentistry, and Dr. Nancy Young, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, presented “Integrating Students as Mock Board Examiners” in the poster session.

• Taeyoung Lee, D3 presented “Cell Cycle Deregulation By EPS8” in the poster presentation session.

• Dr. Rhoda Sword, Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences, and Caroline Carlock, D3, presented “Running a Longitudinal Study in the COVID-19 Pandemic” in the poster presentation session.

• Veronica Xia, D3, presented “Periimplant Bone Loss by Jaw Location: Systematic Review and Metaanalysis” in the poster presentation session.

ADEA’s mission is to lead the dental education community to address contemporary issues influencing education, research and the delivery of oral health care for the overall health and safety of the public.
