Dozens of members of our DCG family attended the global Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting March 21-23 in Atlanta (see header photo). The conference hosts more than 10,000 researchers, dentists, oral health specialists, dental students, educators and other industry experts for three days of world-class continuing education, exhibitions, inspiration and community-building.
This year, several DCG alumni and faculty presented at the conference. Dr. Todd Schoenbaum, Professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences, presented “Implant Prosthetics: Core Techniques For Fixed Restorations;” “Prosthetic Implant Complications: Causes, Prevention and Management;” “Rescue Treatment of Implants in the Aesthetic Zone: Risks and Realities” and “Implant Restorations in the Aesthetic Zone: Where to Place Them & How to Make the Restorations Look Great!”
Emeritus Professor Dr. Van Haywood (DMD, ’74) and retired Assistant Professor Dr. Michael Pruett also presented several educational sessions.
Alumni presenters included Haywood (DMD, 74), Dr. James L. Cassidy Jr. (DMD, ’83), Dr. Thomas McDonald (DMD ’83), Dr. Jeffrey Pafford (DMD, ’05), Dr. Rico Short (DMD, ‘99), Dr. Alfred Wyatt (DMD, ’84) and Dr. Matthew Yeung (AEGD/GPR Residency, ’21).
The Dean’s Office provided DCG-branded polo shirts to senior students who were attending the conference, to distinguish themselves among other attendees and to elevate the college’s presence at the international event.
Congratulations to all of our presenters, students and attendees. You make us proud!
