The Dental College of Georgia celebrated the cooler weather and autumn holidays on Thursday, Oct. 27, with the annual Fall Frolic celebration for staff, residents and faculty. Dye’s Southern Catering provided lunch, while attendees enjoyed cornhole games, music, a costume contest, a chili cookoff, a visit from AU mascot Augustus, a sale by the AU JagStore and a photo booth courtesy of Health Center Credit Union (HCCU). More than 280 people turned out to enjoy the cool fall weather and the company of beloved colleagues and friends.
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery won Best Group Costume with a Wizard of Oz ensemble (see header photo). They will celebrate with a pizza party provided by Dean Lefebvre, and a trophy to display for a year. Dr. Cindy Hipp, Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, won the Best Individual Costume contest as Cruella de Vil (above). She will celebrate with a gift card, and a trophy to display for a year. Dr. Kevin Frazier, Vice Dean of the DCG, won the chili cookoff with his “Where’s the Beef?” vegetarian chili. He received a gift card for his delicious chili.
