DCG Hosts Annual Staff Forum

The DCG hosts a Staff Forum (formerly the Staff Retreat) every year to provide training, address feedback and workshop solutions whenever possible. This year, The DCG held the forum on Dec. 13 in the Augusta University Harrison Education Commons, inviting more than 210 employees to one of two sessions.

AU Human Resources employees Kelli Gonzalez-Brooks, Manager of Organizational Development, and Katherine Grego, Organizational Development Analyst, kindly provided DCG employees with career and personal coaching. They covered goal-setting, how to find a mentor and a sponsor, and more, to support DCG employees’ growth and advancement. Dr. Nancy Young, Dean of The DCG, reviewed the climate survey that was completed earlier this year and answered questions from staff about how the college is responding to the survey’s findings.

Members of The DCG Leadership were joined with Ms. Dena Pickett, Director of Employee Relations and Organizational Development at AU, in answering pressing questions submitted in advance by DCG staff members and follow-up questions from the attendees. Dean Young; Dr. Babak Baban, Associate Dean for Research; Dr. Kim Capehart, Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs & Advanced Education; Mr. Darrell Gentry, Associate Dean for Business & Finance; and Dr. Greg Griffin, Associate Dean for Student Affairs, gave in-depth consideration to the questions and concerns posed by DCG staff.
