DCG Kicks off Global Diversity Month

The DCG kicked off Global Diversity Awareness Month on Oct. 1 with an unveiling of the Superlove banner in the DCG lobby and distribution of Superlove pins that highlight the DCG commitment to honoring the diverse backgrounds and cultures of many valued DCG family members.

Global Diversity Awareness Month is celebrated every October as a reminder of the positive impact a diverse culture of people can have on society as a whole.

Dr. Kevin Frazier and Dr. Carol Hanes kicked off the month with a few words on the importance of valuing each person.

“October is Global Diversity Awareness Month. This annual international recognition provides us with the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the wonderful diversity that the Dental College of Georgia enjoys, and the progress we hope to make to enhance and enrich our multicultural DCG community in the days to come. We are excited to share the experiences and lessons of our students, colleagues, and friends, and we invite everyone to the events we have planned,” Frazier said.
