Bhandari presented his research, “Inhalant CBD Alleviates the Symptoms in Migraine,” through a poster session, earning recognition for the quality and impact of his work.
His research could have rapid benefits for migraine sufferers. The translational relevance of his project indicats a promising therapeutic approach with translational relevance for fast-acting, non-invasive migraine relief, an area of increasing clinical importance.
Bhandari worked closely with supervisor Dr. Babak Baban, Associate Dean for Research at the DCG, who provided mentorship for him throughout the process.
“We are very proud of his well-earned accomplishments. And we hope that the success of researchers like Dr. Bhandari will encourage more AU students to engage with our research group. We have a lot of exciting work happening, and there are opportunities for students to gain valuable experience and knowledge with our team,” Baban said.
In addition, Bhandari won First Place for his poster presentation at the Southeastern Dental Research Symposium (SEDRS) on April 18. These well-deserved honors reflect Bidhan’s dedication and excellence in research.
A record 195 graduate and postdoctoral students participated in Graduate Research Day 2025, including 183 poster presentations with 12 postdocs selected to give oral presentations. Ten of AU’s 11 colleges and schools were represented among the numerous rows of abstract posters on display in the Robert B. Greenblatt, M.D. Library.
