DCG Volunteers Clinical Services at Remote Area Medical Event

DCG students and faculty volunteered in Louisville, Georgia, on Saturday, Sept. 25, for the Remote Area Medical Event to provide care to those who may live in areas under-served by routine medical and dental services. The event ran from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and from 6 a.m. to noon on Sunday. The RAM event treated 208 patients, and provided $122,000 worth of care.

Patients began lining up on Friday at midnight, and came from as far as Columbus, Georgia, and St. Augustine, Florida. DCG volunteers arrived at 5 a.m. and worked all day. The volunteers included:
