DCG Welcomes New Students with Picnic

The DCG welcomed its newest class of dental students with the annual Freshman Picnic held on Wednesday, June 28, at the Harrison Education Commons Building. The event provided an opportunity for the incoming students to meet their new classmates before the start of classes.

The Freshman Picnic, organized by DCG Admissions and Student Affairs, brought together students and their families for an enjoyable evening of socializing and bonding. Held on the picturesque health sciences quad, attendees were treated to a casual dinner catered by Shane’s Rib Shack. To add to the festive atmosphere, Sky High Inflatables provided games and entertainment, allowing students to engage in some friendly competition and enjoy themselves before the rigorous academic year ahead.

In addition to fostering camaraderie among the incoming students, the Freshman Picnic also offered an opportunity for the new students to interact with DCG faculty, who engaged in conversations and provided guidance to the fresh faces embarking on their dental education journey.

Throughout the evening, laughter and joy filled the air as students and their families seized the chance to capture memories by taking photographs. The picnic served as an ideal setting for building connections, forming new friendships and creating a sense of community. With this event and others throughout the year, The DCG aims to instill a sense of belonging and support among its students.
