Dora Hawes Rings in Graduation at AU

The DCG is proud of Dora Hawes, office specialist in Oral Biology & Diagnostic Sciences, who was selected as opening bell ringer for Augusta University’s Fall 2023 Commencement Ceremony. Hawes was chosen for this honor because she is AU’s longest-serving staff member with 42 years of employment as of October 2023. Hawes was the 2022 winner of the Sherry Barnett Award from The DCG and was a 2010 SWELL Award winner. She is also a passionate advocate for disability services and access.
