Garner, ’60, died March 31

Dr. Cyler Duggan Garner, a 1960 MCG graduate, died March 31.

He was a graduate of Mercer University and The Medical College of Georgia and was a physician for over 61 years in Gordon, Georgia. He served as Mayor of Gordon for 33 years and he served as president of the American Medical Assoc, and the Georgia Medical Assoc. Dr. Garner was a member of the State Board of Health, faculty and board member of the Mercer University School of Medicine and served as Medical Examiner for Wilkinson and Twiggs Counties for many years.
