El Sayed Wins Grant from American Association of Immunologists Dr. Ranya El Sayed, Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics, has been selected to receive a prestigious 2024 Early Career Faculty Travel Grant from the American Association of Immunologists (AAI) for her research project,” Oral Microbially-induced Exosomes Cross Blood-Brain Barrier Contributing to Neuroinflammation and Alzheimer’s Disease Pathogenesis.”

Dr. El Sayed will present her research at the AAI’s annual meeting happening this month in Chicago. This conference is a major event in the field, bringing together researchers from around the world to share the latest discoveries in immunology. AAI features lectures from leading immunology experts, reviews of cutting-edge research through poster presentations and networking opportunities.

The AAI is dedicated to advancing immunology research and its applications in healthcare. Congratulations, Dr. El Sayed!
