Elashiry completes fellowship focused on dental education

Congratulations to Dr. Mahmoud Elashiry, associate professor in the Department of Periodontics, on completing the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) Fellowship to the Institute for Teaching and Learning in the Health Professions.

The fellowship, awarded through the AAP Foundation, provides full tuition for the AAP Academy for Academic Leadership’s Program for dental school faculty. The four-day program helps dental educators strengthen their teaching skills, explore best practices in academic settings and develop strategies for successful careers in dental education through interactive learning, peer observation and mentoring.

We congratulate Dr. Elashiry on this accomplishment and his continued commitment to dental education.
