Elashiry Wins First Place in SAP Research Award Competition

Dr. Mahmoud Elashiry, a Third-Year Periodontal Resident, recently won First Place in the 2022 Southern Academy of Periodontology Billy M. Pennell Research Award Competition* in the Basic Science Category. His research project is on the role of small extracellular vesicles in the pathophysiology of periodontal disease. Dr. Elashiry will present at the 2022 Southern Academy of Periodontology Annual Meeting at the Cloister at Sea Island, Georgia on June 23-26. Congratulations, Dr. Elashiry!
