Well-loved local icon Jennie Montgomery is planning to speak to Augusta University students on February 7.
Montgomery, who co-hosts WJBF NewsChannel 6’s evening news as well as her own show “Jennie,” on WJBF, is well known in the area for her philanthropy and heart for the Augusta community.

According to WJBF, Montgomery has won two Edward R. Murrow awards for broadcast journalism, covering medical mission trips to Nicaragua, and for a documentary titled, “Finding Birth Families.”
She has also won the National Academy of Television Journalists award for Best Female Anchor, state GABBY broadcast awards for Best On-Air Personality, and local awards for Best News Anchor and Best TV Hair.
She will speak to AU students and communication majors about her work as a TV anchor and reporter in the Augusta area. Come learn what it’s like to be a local TV legend!
