GSGA Blood Drive Benefits 135 People

The AU Graduate Student Government Association (GSGA) recently shared their gratitude for the folks who came out last week to donate blood at the Shepherd Community Blood Center bloodmobile.

The blood drive collected 45 units of blood. Those units, when broken down into component parts such as red blood cells, platelets, and plasma, have the potential to save 135 lives.

“This is an extraordinary impact on our community, and we couldn’t have done it without you,” said GSGA Humanitarian Jaimini Patel, a DCG dental student in the Class of 2026. “It was truly inspiring to witness the camaraderie and unity that brought us together for such an important cause. The selflessness and willingness to give back speak volumes about the spirit of our AU family, and I am so proud to be part of this community.”

We’re so proud of our students and employees for your generosity!
