New admin joins DCG Business and Finance

Michelle Prather

Recently, Michelle Prather joined the DCG Office of Business and Finance as the new Administrative Assistant II, after Stephanie O’Dell transferred to the Office of Faculty Affairs as Faculty Liaison.

Prather brings a comprehensive background in administrative support, event coordination and business operations to her new role.

Among her relevant experiences are 11 years working as the Event Coordinator for the University Health Care Foundation. There, she provided administrative assistance to executives, collaborated with the Foundation Board of Directors, managed critical databases and oversaw accounts payable and receivable to support fundraising for University Hospital (now Piedmont Hospital).

Her tenure at the foundation highlighted her exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.

Prior to that, Prather was the Membership Coordinator at the Better Business Bureau, where she was responsible for database oversight, processing complaints and managing accounts receivable and payable.

Prather is an alum of Aiken Technical College, holding an associate’s degree in general studies. She also pursued studies in applied science, pre-allied health and surgical technology. The Office of Business and Finance looks forward to the significant contributions Prather will make in her new role.
