New business manager originates role at DCG

Jordan Fields-Thomas has joined the DCG as the new Business Operations Analyst for Business and Finance.

A native of Evans, GA, Jordan brings a wealth of experience from her career within the AU community.

Fields-Thomas’s most recent position as Director of Business Services at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home gave her extensive experience in financial management, compliance and strategic planning. She was responsible for analyzing financial transactions, managing budgets and generating key reports to improve financial performance.

“I started my career at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home and was excited to grow within the Augusta University community. Joining the DCG gives me an opportunity to continue learning in this environment while applying and expanding my skills,” she said.

Before that, as the Assistant Director of Health Information Management, she honed her skills in data analysis, policy implementation and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.

Fields-Thomas holds both a bachelor’s in health information administration, a Master of Public Health and is a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).

In her off-work time, Jordan enjoys reading and spending time with her family. She is passionate about helping our college succeed and looks forward to contributing to the DCG’s mission and goals.
