We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Stephanie O’Dell to Faculty Affairs Coordinator in the Office of the Vice Dean at The DCG.
O’Dell has been a valuable member of our team, serving as an Administrative Assistant 2 in the DCG Business & Finance Department since November 2022. Her commitment and enthusiasm have been key to her growth within the college. In her new role, she will support the faculty and help ensure the efficient operation of faculty affairs.
“This position gives me new challenges and an opportunity to understand more about how the faculty side of higher education runs. I want to master my new role and see which paths may open up in the future,” O’Dell said.
O’Dell is eager to embrace this opportunity, and we are confident that her skills and positive outlook will continue to be a great asset to The DCG. Prior to joining The DCG, O’Dell was the owner of Abbi’s Coffee for 14 years. She also served eight years in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman, completing her career as a Petty Officer 2nd Class.
In life outside of work, O’Dell enjoys spending quality time with her daughter, exploring various creative pursuits together. The crafting power pair has ventured into a wide range of hobbies, including sublimation, knitting, crochet, sewing, and resin. O’Dell’s love for crafting extends beyond personal enjoyment. She believes in the therapeutic benefits of these activities and the joy they bring to her family.
