The DCG Department of Periodontics recently honored its graduating periodontics residents at a dinner held on June 2 at the Augusta Country Club. The periodontics residency provides evidence-based biological, scientific and clinical information and experiences to diagnose and treat all forms of periodontal disease.
The event marked the successful completion of their advanced training and celebrated their significant contributions to the field of periodontics. Under the tutelage of our respected faculty and mentors, Dr. Scott Lowry (DMD, 2020), Dr. Anthony Michelotti and Dr. Chase Richards acquired important skills and grew their clinical experiences and knowledge in treating periodontal disease. We look forward to following their bright careers in the dental community.
In addition, the Periodontics Department is proud to announce that our 2022 graduates – Dr. Brian Mears, Dr. Sherin Merchant and Dr. Ashley Pater – have passed their oral boards and are now Diplomates of the American Board of Periodontology!
