Dr. Sarah Baker, a second-year resident in the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics, was recently profiled by her alma mater, The Ohio State University. The profile focused on the importance of donors, alumni, the community and friends of a university in helping to offset the cost of attendance in order to break down educational barriers for talented students who do not come from a position of economic privilege.
“Focusing on school and not having to worry about where my next meal would come from or if my electricity would be shut off was the greatest gift. Donor support didn’t just allow me to survive, it allowed me to thrive,” Baker said.
