Scanapalooza offered hands-on look at digital dentistry

The DCG Emerging Technologies and Techniques Club and their faculty advisor Dr. Rafael Pacheco hosted its second annual “Scanapalooza”event on Aug. 8, bringing students, residents, faculty, Ft. Gordon faculty and residents & local dentists, together for a hands-on look at the latest in digital dentistry.

Participants compared intraoral scanners from leading manufacturers, enjoyed lunch and explored new technology and equipment. The event also provided four PACE-approved continuing education credit hours, giving attendees an opportunity to learn while gaining valuable experience with tools used in modern dental practice.
