Students Volunteer at Heath Fair

Dental Clínica Latina participated in the annual Asociación Latina de Servicios del CSRA (ALAS) Free Health Fair on Saturday May 7. The fair was a joint collaboration among the Dental College of Georgia, the Medical College of Georgia and the College of Allied Health Sciences, and was designed to assist underserved populations in the local community. DCG students volunteered their time and knowledge alongside Dr. Christopher Culter, Chair of the Department of Periodontics, and Dr. Eduardo Britton, Assistant Professor in the Department of General Dentistry, to provide head and neck cancer screenings as well as oral hygiene instruction to more than 150 patients.
