Sun Shines at IADR Hatton Competition

Dental College of Georgia

Christina Sun (Class of 2024) represented the DCG at the American Association for Dental, Oral & Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) Hatton Competition on July 19. The IADR Hatton Competition is designed to provide an opportunity for the best junior investigators from all IADR Divisions and Sections to present their research at the annual IADR General Session.

Sun’s topic was “Matrix-bound Zoledronate enhances biofilm colonization of hydroxyapatite: effects on osteonecrosis.” Congratulations, Christina! Additional congratulations go to Dr. Ranya El Sayed, of the Department of Periodontics, and to Dr. Mohammed Elsalanty, formerly of the Department of Oral Biology & Diagnostic Sciences, who mentored Ms. Sun throughout this process.
