Vargas Earns AAP Fellowship

Dr. Anthony A. Vargas, Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics, was awarded the prestigious AAP Foundation Fellowship to the Institute for Teaching & Learning in the Health Professions.

This distinguished fellowship, offered by the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation (AAPF), is designed to equip dental educators with the necessary skills to foster effective and innovative teaching methods within the field of periodontology. The AAP Foundation Fellowship provided Dr. Vargas with the opportunity to attend the Institute’s Program for Dental School Faculty, and covered the full tuition for the program.
