The 35th Graduate Research Day was an excellent showcase of the research of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and residents throughout Augusta University. The research spanned a wide variety of topics, from education to biomedical sciences to psychology.

Vice President, Early Discovery Research Genentech Inc.
Title: Why So Many Ways To Die? The Non-canonical Inflammasome Pathway
Dr. Vishva M. Dixit, a renowned scientist whose research has contributed new understanding to life-threatening conditions like sepsis. Dr. Dixit’s manuscripts have been cited over 100,000 times.
Dixit currently serves as vice president and scientist at Genentech Inc., a leading biotechnology company that discovers, develops, manufactures and commercializes medicines to treat patients with serious or life-threatening medical conditions. He is also a member of the National Academy of Sciences.
