The DCG chapter of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) Wellness Week, rescheduled in the wake of Hurricane Helene, concluded on Oct. 18 with a series of impactful events. Each event was designed to promote student well-being and foster a sense of community.
The week kicked off with a volunteer event at the Ronald McDonald House, where students supported families facing difficult times. This act of service provided a meaningful opportunity to give back to the community and uplift those in need.
Tuesday brought a sweet treat, courtesy of Crumbl Cookies, which offered a fun and much-needed break from the stresses of academic life. Wednesday’s River Cleanup, organized in partnership with the DCG Environmental Club, inspired students to take action for the planet and contribute to a cleaner environment.
To promote physical and mental health, ASDA offered free fitness classes at Oxygen, including barre, spin and Oxyblast. These classes provided a chance for students to recharge, de-stress and connect with fellow students.
On Thursday, a floral arranging workshop offered a creative and calming outlet, allowing students to practice mindfulness and express themselves artistically.
The week culminated on Friday with the popular Rooted Coffee Cart, where students enjoyed complimentary coffee and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Georgia ASDA’s Wellness Week was a resounding success, demonstrating the power of community, mindfulness and balance. By prioritizing student well-being, the organization has inspired students to get more involved and create a positive impact on their campus and community
