A new AU Online Education Changing Courses to Change Lives (AUOE CCCL) initiative is underway, bringing together faculty, staff, leadership, and students to strengthen the quality and consistency of online learning at Augusta University. Recognizing that D2L Brightspace serves as the “classroom” and, for many learners, the entire AU campus, the project focuses on establishing shared, evidence-based standards for online course design and teaching practices.

Sponsored by the Provost, the project is guided by an Advisory Group with broad college representation. Members of the Advisory Group are actively engaged in two dedicated working groups the AUOE Online Course Design Characteristics Working Group and the AUOE Online Teaching Characteristics Working Group.

These early efforts lay the groundwork for upcoming deliverables, including the Course Design Institute and Teaching Immersive, ensuring AU students experience high-quality, consistent, and engaging online learning across programs.
