DCG Students Provide Dental Care on Mission to Nicaragua

Seven D3 dental students traveled with Dr. Greg Griffin, Assistant Professor in the Department of General Dentistry, in partnership with Global Health Outreach, to participate in a multi-disciplinary medical/dental brigade providing health care to the people of Talolinga, Nicaragua.

The local pastors and leaders in the village organized the clinic and the team was able see more than 1,200 patients in the three-and-a-half day medical/dental brigade.

The trip was a great learning experience for providing health relief in remote locations, and also an opportunity to serve some of the neediest people on our planet who do not have access to dental care.
