Several DCG students were recently honored by the Pierre Fauchard Academy (PFA) at the Georgia, Florida and Alabama joint PFA Annual Meeting at the Ritz Carlton in Lake Oconee, Georgia. The PFA is an honorary dental service organization.
Four DCG students were honored with scholarships and three presented their research findings:
Ali Azidah, D4, received the PFA Oral Health Foundation Scholarship.
Rebecca Flaugher and Snigdha Arora, D4s, received Mark Ritz Research Awards, and co-presented their research entitled, “Comparison of Different Cleaning Methods on Bonding to Sealer-Contaminated Dentin.”
Amber Durand, D3, received a Mark Ritz Research Award for her research, entitled, “Phagocytosis of Degenerating Taste Receptor Cells Following Chorda Tympani Nerve Sectioning.”
