Smith, ’79, died Feb. 13

After graduation from St. Francis College in Fort Wayne, Dr. Smith taught chemistry at Huntington Catholic High School where she spent many humorous hours with the students, all of whom she loved. Always bright and ambitious, she moved to Atlanta to get a Masters Degree in Chemistry and then continued her teaching and love of students at Georgia Tech. Two to three years later Dr. Smith spent four years at the Medical College of Georgia, then returned to Indianapolis for her residency in Pediatrics.
