Dr. Sharon Beall, ’90, joins MCG and Children’s Hospital of Georgia as medical director of pediatric palliative care and hospice program

Dr. Sharon Beall, a 1990 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, has joined the medical school’s Department of Pediatrics, effective January 1, 2021.

She earned her medical degree and completed her pediatric residency at MCG, where she also served as the pediatric chief resident and then assistant professor of pediatrics. In 1993, she joined the faculty of Primary Care Associates and served for 8 years before going into private practice. She practiced at The Pediatric Office, LLC in Evans until 2017 when she was named the medical director of Affinis Hospice.

Since 2018 Dr. Beall has served as the lead hospice physician for the Pediatric Division of AgapeCare Hospice (Hands of Hope). Dr. Beall returns to MCG/ with extensive experience in hospice and palliative medicine. We are pleased to have her lead the new CHOG Palliative Care and Hospice Program.
