The Department of General Dentistry (DGD) held its annual retreat on Dec. 13 at SRP Park in North Augusta, South Carolina, to build new relationships, support existing relationships, collaborate on challenges and celebrate successes. Also, for the third year, the DGD honored outstanding contributors for their dedication and support to the department:
• Darrell Gentry, Associate Dean of Business and Finance, was chosen for his outstanding contributions to the department by a DCG employee outside of the DGD.
• Dr. Greg Griffin was honored for his outstanding contributions to the department by a DCG employee inside of the DGD.
• Dr. Melissa Hunt, recently departed Assistant Professor of General Dentistry, was selected for her outstanding contributions to DGD students.
Award recipients were presented a certificate and a $50 Amazon gift card in thanks for their service.
