The DCG hosted the 42nd Annual Marvin C. Goldstein Lecture Series on Friday, Oct. 22. Dozens of DCG alumni, faculty and residents attended the lecture featuring Dr. Jeff J. Brucia, Assistant Professor of Dental Practice at the the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Dr. Brucia lectured on “Restorative Materials and Techniques Simplified.”
The event also included the presentation of the DCG’s Distinguished Alumnus Award to Dr. Ben Jernigan, Jr. (’76). Jernigan is a past president of the president of the Georgia Dental Association, and a member of the American Dental Association, Hinman Dental Society, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, Decatur Dental Study Club and the Georgia Academy of Dental Practice. In 2015, he was named “Dentist of the Year” by the Georgia Dental Association Northern District Dental Society.
