Moreno Named Top Walker for CSRA Heart Walk

Holly Moreno, DCG Finance and Business Operations Analyst, was recently recognized by the CSRA Heart Walk as a Top Walker for raising more than $1,000 for the 2022 event on March 12.

“Top Walkers are an integral part of the Heart Walk and we are thankful for her passion to raise funds for groundbreaking research that keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives,” said Marah Curry, Development Director for the CSRA Heart Walk.

For Moreno, the walk is personal. “I have a lot of family who have been impacted by heart issues,” she said. “This event helps to support all age groups with these issues of heart disease and stroke, and make a positive impact on the community.”

Most of all, Moreno enjoys the social aspect of the Heart Walk. “We interact with a lot more people on a day-to-day basis during the campaign,” she said.

The AHA has funded more than $30 million in research in the CSRA alone in the last 6 years, including research through AU and AU Health.
