Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Selective holds interest meeting

The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Selective (OMFSS) held an interest meeting on Oct. 6 at the Crown Plaza in North Augusta for all dental students interested in broadening their knowledge base regarding oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures.

OMFSS functions to further students’ clinical abilities through hands-on experiences, mentorship programs, research opportunities and general skill development. In addition, the organization offers advice on the application process for acceptance into advanced education in oral and maxillofacial programs.

The organization plans to promote education and skill development across platforms through events such as Suture Day, Extraction Day, club meetings, volunteer events and journal club.
