Physical Therapy Students Share Ergonomic Techniques

Dr. Valerie Hogan, Assistant Professor and Academic Director of the Augusta University Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program, brought a group of students to the DCG to present to D1s about musculoskeletal disorders. Almost 30 percent of early retirements from dentistry are related to musculoskeletal disorders of the neck, back, shoulder, wrist and hand. The group reviewed ergonomics concepts for DCG students, and gave examples of techniques to help prevent issues. Thank you to Taylor Andre, Jacob Carlson, Abigail Cranford, Rachel Kruger, Adrianna Parson and Kylie Whelan from the College of Allied Health Sciences for sharing their expertise.
