Research and Table Clinic Day Celebrates Innovation

For 33 years, the annual Research and Table Clinic Day at the DCG has celebrated excellence in innovation and discovery. This year’s event on March 9 began with the 7th Annual David H. Pashley Lecture, given by Dr. Fadi AL Farawati, Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences, entitled, “Digital Dentistry: The Bridge Between Dental Education and Private Practice Application.”

The nine senior dental students graduating with distinctions in research were announced, along with the two faculty receiving Early Career Research Grants. Attendees could choose from 70 presentations in 11 interactive virtual poster sessions showcasing the scientific research and innovative clinical treatments practiced at the Dental College of Georgia, the AU dental hygiene program and the Fort Gordon Dental Periodontics Residency program. Of these, 49 were entered into the optional competition categories, including four from the Fort Gordon program. The afternoon concluded with an award and recognition ceremony.
