The Dental College of Georgia (DCG) at Augusta University has earned a four-year term of reaccreditation as a continuing education provider from the American Dental Association’s Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition following the commission’s April meeting.

The ADA Continuing Education Recognition Program (CERP) reaccreditation represents the highest term available and reaffirms the outstanding quality, rigor and consistency of DCG’s continuing education curriculum for dental professionals. It highlights the college’s sustained commitment to delivering high-impact educational programs that advance clinical excellence and lifelong learning across the profession.

“This achievement reflects the dedication, collaboration and commitment of so many individuals who work tirelessly to ensure we provide meaningful, evidence-based educational experiences for dental professionals,” said Cathy Mason-Smith, DCG continuing education specialist, who led the re-accreditation process for the college. “I am proud to be part of a team deeply committed to delivering programs that are relevant, engaging and impactful for our profession and the communities we serve across Georgia and beyond.”

Dr. Kevin Frazier, vice dean of the Dental College of Georgia, said the recognition underscores the college’s leadership in dental education and professional development.

“We are committed to ensuring dental professionals have access to trusted, relevant and high-quality learning opportunities that directly support improved patient care and ongoing professional growth, for the profession but also for the state of Georgia,” Frazier said.

Updated national standards for continuing education providers will take effect June 1, 2026. The DCG will continue to offer programs that reflect the latest developments in dentistry and support dental professionals in delivering the highest standard of patient care.
