Orthodontics Residents Achieve Board Certification

Dental College of Georgia

Dr. Marielena Layuno-MatosDr. Raymond McLagan and Dr. Jonathan Wells, recent alumni of the Advanced Dental Education in Orthodontics residency program in the DCG Department of Orthodontics, all passed Part II of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) exam in February 2024 to become board-certified orthodontists.

A practitioner who achieves board certification has demonstrated the highest level of proficiency and understanding in their field. They help to set and to maintain the professional standards of care for excellence in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics.

The mission of the ABO is to elevate the quality of orthodontic care for the public by promoting excellence through certification, education and professional collaboration.

Congratulations to our residency alumni! We are very proud of you!
