Student Hypes Value of LAUNCH Camp on WJBF

Kansington Caroline Gloster, a fourth-year DCG student, recently shared with WJBF News her experiences volunteering with the LAUNCH Augusta camp. LAUNCH stands for Leaders and Adolescents Uniting to Navigate Careers in Healthcare.

The local nonprofit, established in 2017, aims to provide information, mentoring, and direction for aspiring healthcare professionals. Gloster discussed the camp’s impact on local students and emphasized the importance of helping young people make informed decisions about their future.

LAUNCH served more than 150 students this year in hands-on experiences paring K-12 students with healthcare workers to spark interest in future careers.
